High-end

United
Airlines announced the introduction of enhanced non-stop
service between Seattle-Tacoma
International Airport and Tokyo's Narita International Airport
beginning October 31 on aircraft equipped with the state-of-the-art
United
First Suite. The service
marks United's first trans-Pacific flight featuring the new
product. More than just a seat, the First Suite can transform
from a relaxing
personal
space to
an office, or into a comfortable, lie-flat, bed. United's
International First Class cabins will be configured to contain
12 of the
new First Suites, which
will be arranged in a herringbone pattern for greater privacy
and to allow direct aisle access from every seat. The First
Suite was
introduced
onboard
United 777 aircraft in March 1999, featuring: recline lie
flat at 1800, functions as both a seat and as a bed. Deploys
to
6'6" in length; seat bottom cushion
length adjusts from 17" to 20". It better fits customers
of all heights. There's also a dropping side arm, and additional
seat
width and access without
moving
the tray table. For corporate travel, United features additional
work surface and a separate footrest; becomes part of bed. 
Fly
business class and you'll experience a whole new dimension
in international and
corporate travel. The number of seats has been reduced to
increase your personal space
-- and extended your leg room by a generous 20%. In fact,
you'll have a glorious four feet of space. Besides adjustable
headrests
and plenty
of
space, there's
9 Channel Distributed Video System (DVS9) with a choice of
entertainment channels covering business, sports, family,
regional programs and
movie channels. 
When
you fly First Class with Swissair, you enjoy service at its
very best. They
provide
premium international travel. First class has many features,
including a table that lets you hold a conference, or a dinner,
for two;
a seat that transforms
into a bed 201 cm long and 60 cm wide, and a gastronomic
feast featuring as many as eight courses, created by two
of the finest
chefs in the
world. 
The
First Class seat is modelled on the Swissair First Class
seat, which was voted
number 1
among 36 airlines on the In-flight Research Surveys 2000
study. First Class seats offer a 180 degree lie-flat bed.
In full
recline, it
offers a 29-inch
wide bed. Each suite has its own ottoman, which is electrically
controlled. An extra large dining table offers the opportunity
for dual dining.
Depending on aircraft registration, the cabin features 6
or 7 single suites and
2 double suites. The seat pitch is 83". Each seat has its own in-seat power supply for
laptops. (Passengers supply their own connector cables.) An in-seat telephone
on selected aircraft. Individual, adjustable reading lights at each seat with
3 different light settings. There's a private television with 8.6" screens. 
Business
class seats feature increased pitch from 45" to 78". The seat translates into a 180-degree
lie-flat position, creating a 78-inch long bed. There's a fully adjustable
headrest to six positions for customized comfort, pneumatic lumbar support
which moulds to an individual's body shape and electronically operated seats
(recline and leg rest extension). The seat is generously wide with shoulder
width at 27.5", and seat width at 21". Each seat has its own in-seat power
supply for laptops (Passengers supply their own connector cables). There's
an in-seat telephone, individual adjustable reading lights at each seat with
3 different light settings, and a private television, with large 8.6" screens
and Sony P@ssport audio-and-video-on-demand giving passengers
full control of their own in-flight entertainment. 
Singapore
features fully-reclining Slumberettes in the First class
cabins of all its Mega-top
747s. They can be converted into a bed at the touch of a
button and a divider can be put between seats. Slumberettes
come with
a phone,
entertainment
system, reading light and laptop power supply. Exquisite,
sumptuous, lavish

is the new
built-in "optimum
comfort" position which provides the most comfortable angle to support the
body whilst reading or relaxing. Total comfort is assured with the wide range
of touch sensitive seat controls. Singapore Airlines in-flight entertainment
has long been known as "the Biggest Show in the Sky" but
the large 36 cm (14 inch) screen found in First Class breaks
all
records. 
Completely
redesigned, the new MEGATOP 747 Raffles cabin exudes an ambience
of contemporary elegance.
The Ultimo seat offers an extra personal space and seat comfort
which allows to stretch out or work in an unprecedented level
of comfort.
The Raffles
class is progressively being introduced to the Megatop 747
fleet. Aboard MEGATOP
747's the upper deck is exclusive to Raffles Class and there
